Gavin grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area learning to surf to Santa Cruz when he was 5. Gavin found inspiration in pro surfer John John Florence since that time and would spend his days watching every clip on YouTube he could find of John John and run out to the water to practice.
Our family ended up moving to Southern California so Gavin could pursue his passion of surfing. Since then Gavin’s been part of NSSA where he won a gold coast conference title and runner up regionals in nationals in 2021. Gavin is also part of USA surfing where last year Gavin ranked #4 in open juniors in a highly competitive group of aspiring surfers.
Gavin continues to draw inspiration to this day off John Florence and hopes one day he could surf as good as him.
